We started our Thursday off with plenty of sunshine and crisp temperatures in the 40s, thanks to some high pressure sliding by to our north. We're enjoying a beautiful dry day today with highs expected to reach into the comfortable 60s to lower 70s.

There will be an increased chances of showers and a few thunderstorms, particularly on Friday, as a cold front sweeps through. Another round of light rain arrives Saturday evening into early Sunday morning. This upcoming weekend might feel quite active with these precipitation chances.

Late Sunday into the next week we'll experience a brief, but very bitter, Arctic blast. This will bring us the coldest temperatures of the season by far. By Monday, high temperatures may struggle to climb above 40 degrees in many spots.
