India women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was the second-highest-paid retention of the defending champions Mumbai Indians, as the two-time winners announced their retention list ahead of the first Women’s Premier League mega auction, all set to be held later this month.
The defending champions have retained five core cricketers from their title-winning team, ODI World Cup-winning skipper Harmanpreet, who has guided Mumbai to two titles in three years, along with England star Nat Sciver -Brunt, Windies captain Hayley Matthews and young Indians Amanjot Kaur and G. Kamalini .
