JACKSON, MI – Jackson Public Schools will soon see a wave of upgrades after voters approved a $126 million bond proposal.
Voters in the Jackson Public Schools district elected to borrow millions to improve schools’ infrastructure during the general election Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The bond passed with a vote of 3,683 to 3,262, according to the unofficial election results.
“We’re super excited that the community was supportive of our bond proposal,” Jackson Public Schools Superintendent Jeremy Patterson said. “We talked about equity across the buildings. We talked about infrastructure, which is really taking care of our buildings so that they are great for years to come. So we say thank you to the community of Jackson for voting yes.”
