ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India reported that its income in the September quarter was down 6 per cent at $1.5 billion against $1.6 billion due to fall in realisation.
Production was up at 1.83 million tonnes (1.74 mt) while sales increased to 1.94 mt (1.89 mt).
EBITDA was up 9 per cent at $217 million ($162 million), driven primarily by higher shipment volumes.
On September 30, ArcelorMittal announced the issuance of €650 million 3.250 per cent notes due September 2030. The notes were issued under ArcelorMittal’s wholesale Euro Medium Term Notes Programme. The proceeds of the issuance will be used for general corporate purposes and refinancing existing indebtedness, it said.
