A unique Airbnb experience, where guests can spend the night in a barn with a miniature Shetland pony, is open for bookings starting from £180 per night.

Brittany Sparham, 28, began renting out her barn near Thurgarton, Nottinghamshire, on the popular holiday site during the pandemic, capitalising on the surge in staycations.

As the rustic property shares a wall with the stables, Brittany thought it would be a fun idea to create a door allowing visitors to interact with their equine neighbour, Basil.

The barn has since become a hit amongst animal lovers, who relish the chance to spend a night with the 12-year-old miniature Shetland pony.
