In his new memoir, We Did OK, Kid , the Academy Award winner, 87, recounted the wake-up call he received from his doctor that made him realize he was an alcoholic.

Hopkins was 37 years old when his doctor expressed concerns about his drinking habits and shared that the results of his checkup indicated that he had the physical condition of a man who was 50 or 65.
