BENTONVILLE, Ark. — As the federal government shutdown stretches into its 36th day, airports across the country are experiencing growing disruptions. TSA employees continue to work without pay, leading to long lines and delayed flights.

According to Airlines for America, more than 3.2 million passengers nationwide have been impacted by cancellations and delays since the shutdown began.

Many passengers flying out of Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) connect through larger airports such as George Bush Intercontinental in Houston, where wait times reached up to three hours over the weekend. Even as officials expect those lines to improve, some travelers say the situation remains unpredictable.
