A California woman was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for performing an unauthorized butt injection that killed an actress.

Libby Adame, 55, of Riverside County, was convicted last month of second-degree murder and practicing medicine without a certification for the March 2025 death of Cindyana Santangelo.

Santangelo, 59, who appeared in TV shows including CSI: Miami , ER and Married with Children , received the injection at her Malibu home, where she died of silicone embolism.

Adame was still there when Santangelo started experiencing difficulty breathing.

“Unbeknownst to the victim, the silicone oil had migrated from the injection site to the bloodstream,” Judge Sam Ohta said in court, according to KABC .
