ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Rapides Regional Medical Center is proud to announce it now has a new surgery waiting room for friends and family.

The new surgery waiting area is located across the gift shop in the main hallway at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

“The hospital has grown through the years, and the actual surgery waiting is back into the oldest part of the hospital,” said Charla Ducote, Vice President. “When we’ve grown, it’s become further and further distant for folks to go to that area. Now we are right in the middle, the center of the heart of the hospital. We are right across from the gift shop. We’re located close to the chapel. As well as the cafeteria, so a lot easier for family members and visitors to have access to all of those amenities.”

The waiting room is 25% larg
