SCHODACK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Plainview man is in custody after a State Police patrol vehicle was stolen in Davenport and recovered in Schodack on Wednesday. The unnamed man faces multiple charges.
Troopers in Oneonta said they received word on Wednesday at around 5 a.m. of an overnight burglary at Accurate Auto and Truck Repair LLC in Davenport where a State Police patrol vehicle that was undergoing service was taken. According to troopers in Rensselaer County, the patrol vehicle was spotted on I-90 in Schodack at around 6 a.m. with the Plainview man inside.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property in Schodack. He was then turned over to State Police in Oneonta where he was additionally charged with third-deg
