A factory worker who won £15 million on the lottery, using the cash to buy a villa and five luxury cars, admits he hasn’t told his son he is a millionaire. Alain, who admits he now lives “the life of a wealthy retiree”, has however given his son luxury holidays since the win.

After his lottery jackpot, Alain admits he decided to invest parts of his fortune, now earning 10 times more than his old job in the car industry. Frenchman Alain was in the middle of a house move when he received the life-changing news.

He says he had played the Loto for over a decade, picking the birthdates of his loved ones as the numbers. And while he admits he “slept very well” after seeing his numbers drawn, he says he “didn’t jump for joy”.
