Moss Park residents have been without power since 8:11 a.m. Wednesday and, according to Toronto Hydro, the outage is not expected to be resolved until 3 p.m. Thursday — nearly 30 hours later.

The outage is affecting almost 600 customers in the Moss Park area, from the intersection of Queen Street E. and Jarvis Street to Parliament Street and Front Street E. On Wednesday morning, the estimated time of restoration was 8:30 p.m. that evening, and the outage initially affected over 1,000 customers.

Toronto Hydro crews discovered the outage was caused by a suspected third-party dig-in at an active construction site, spokesperson Brie Davis said in an email Thursday.
