GRAPELAND, Texas (KTRE) - The Lovelady Lions travel to Grapeland Friday night to face the Sandies with the 2-seed in district 11-2A D2 on the line.
In the past five meetings between these two teams, Lovelady has won the last three games, including a one-point victory a year ago.
KTRE Sports Director Ryan Smith spoke with both coaches ahead of the big matchup on the Red Zone Preview show. Grapeland Head Coach Jordan Wood says the Sandies have to play mistake-free football Friday night.
“With Lovelady, it’s a lot of bragging rights. We’re real close to each other, so it’s a big game for the communities,” Wood said. “They don’t make mistakes.
