Add Southern California women’s basketball standout JuJu Watkins to a lengthy list of stars behind the Boston Legacy FC investor group.
Watkins is the first college athlete with a public investment in a women’s pro sports team. The Legacy open their first-ever season on March 14 and will play at Gillette Stadium during construction renovation to White Stadium.
“Juju’s investment marks a groundbreaking moment for women’s sports and the power of NIL,” said Jennifer Epstein, owner of Boston Legacy. “She’s showing that today’s student-athletes aren’t just building their own brands — they’re shaping the future of the game.”
Watkins joins former USC quarterback Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears, Celtics general manager Brad Stevens, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, actress Elizabeth Banks and I
