Local housing advocates are taking a closer look at modular construction as a strategy to increase the availability of affordable homes in Coweta and across the region, as rising costs continue to limit traditional homebuilding options for many working families.
Eric Miller, former director of Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity and now head of the Gwinnett-Walton Habitat affiliate, joined the Attainable Housing Task Force housing committee this week to introduce Place Properties and its Homeplace Solutions division, a modular homebuilding partner operating in Georgia and South Carolina.
