LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The FAA is forcing airlines to cut to flights at major airports starting Friday.
SDF in Louisville, which just experienced a major plane crash , is on the list.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says the cuts are due to a shortage of air traffic controllers, who have now been working without pay for 36 days during the government shutdown.
Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport is affected, as well as Kentucky's other major airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International.
