A man was punched in the face during an early hours attack in a Birmingham city centre bar.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was assaulted at a venue in Chamberlain Square.

West Midlands Police said it happened at around 1.30am on Monday, October 13.

The force has now released a CCTV image of a man officers wish to speak to.

The man in the picture - which can be viewed above - has dark hair and was wearing a black jumper.

Anyone who recognises him has been urged to contact police.

The appeal, posted on the force's website and social media accounts, said: "Do you recognise this man?

"We want to speak to him after a man in his 30s was assaulted at a bar in Chamberlain Squ
