Pope Leo has expressed disapproval over the Trump administration’s treatment of migrants and the ongoing military strikes on suspected drug smuggling boats off of the coast of Venezuela.
The leader of the Catholic Church’s condemnation of key policies of President Donald Trump was in response in reporters’ questions during his visit to his papal retreat in Castel Gandolfo, Italy.
“How did you receive the foreigner, did you receive him and welcome him, or not? I think there is a deep reflection that needs to be made about what is happening,” Pope Leo said in some of his strongest criticism of the Trump administration
