‘The jury got it wrong.’ Mother challenges not guilty verdict in teen son’s shooting death

JACKSON, MI — The family of Kalil Calunga-Rodriguez believes jurors got it wrong when they found Jayvion Jahri Hodge not guilty of murder in October.

“Never in a million years did I think that would have been the outcome. I’m still shocked to this day,” Calunga-Rodriguez’s mother Earlisha Scott said Oct. 27.
