Investigators have recovered the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder from the wreckage of UPS Flight 2976 , the MD-11F cargo aircraft that crashed near Louisville, Kentucky.
The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed Thursday, Nov. 6, that both devices, often referred to as the “black boxes”, were found amid debris scattered across a wooded area near the city. They are expected to provide crucial information about the crew’s final moments and the jet’s performance before the crash.
