AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A judge ruled to send an Amarillo man to prison for stalking a local woman.
Casey Ellis Heath, 34, appeared before Judge Ana Estevez yesterday afternoon to hear his sentence.
Heath was arrested in April 2023 on a a charge of stalking, a third-degree felony. He was released on a bond of $5,000 and later indicted by a Potter County grand jury for the offense.
In Texas, a third-degree felony carries a punishment range of up to 10 years in prison.
In October 2023, he was arrested and booked into Randall County Jail on charge of violating a protective order more than two times within a year. The offense involved the same victim of his stalking charge filed in Potter County.
Heath was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
