The Dallas Cowboys announced heartbreaking news Thursday morning, sharing that second-year defensive end Marshawn Kneeland has died. He was 24 years old.
“It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning,” the Cowboys said in a statement . “Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family.”
Kneeland a Michigan native, was in his second season with the Cowboys organization after being drafted in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Prior to being selected by Dallas, he starred at Western Michigan, recording 7.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in 2023, his final year with the Broncos.
