COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Columbus Civic Center has launched a Thanksgiving food drive in partnership with Keep Columbus Beautiful and The Community Warriors to help feed local families during the holiday season.
The drive, which began Wednesday, will collect donations through Nov. 14 to support families in need throughout the Columbus community. All donations will go to Feeding the Valley for distribution.
“Every can, box, or frozen item makes a difference,” organizers said in announcing the drive.
Most needed items
The drive is accepting canned goods including soups, vegetables, fruits and beans, along with boxed foods such as stuffing, rice, pasta and cereal. Frozen vegetables, family meals and other frozen items are also needed.
