However, those demands are often overblown, and one instance caught the attention of ESPN "College GameDay" analyst Kirk Herbstreit this week. He called out a specific SEC fan base for their treatment of their head coach following a Week 10 loss that potentially ended their College Football Playoff hopes.

Those fans were of the Tennessee Volunteers, and some of them called for head coach Josh Heupel to be fired after the team’s loss to the Oklahoma Sooners last week — a defeat that dropped Tennessee to No. 25 in the AP rankings.
