HARRISBURG, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Saline County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the Harrisburg School District to enhance safety for students and the community.
Former law enforcement officers Jason Dunn, Scott Isaacs, David Morris, Bob Smith, and Tom Seiner have been appointed as reserve deputies. These new deputies collectively bring more than 100 years of experience.
Their primary role will be to ensure safety on the district's five campuses. However, they can also be called upon during emergencies outside school hours without impacting the Sheriff's Office budget, the sheriff's office stated in a post online.
Jason Dunn, newly appointed Safety Director, and Scott Isaacs, the soon-to-be-retired Safety Director, led discussions with Sheriff Whipper Johnson to improve operations.
