Los Angeles International Airport, the eighth-busiest airport in the world serving over 75 million guests in 2023, will be among the airports forced to cut their flight capacities by 10% starting Friday amid staffing challenges for air-traffic controllers during the enduring government shutdown. There didn’t appear to be hope the shutdown was near its conclusion on Thursday.

Also on the list: Ontario International Airport.

In all, five California airports — LAX, ONT, San Diego International Airport, Oakland International Airport and San Francisco International Airport — are on the list, according to the media reports.

ONT officials have not yet confirmed any specific cuts but in a social media post Thursday morning, officials said they are aware of the list.
