CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A suspect was arrested after a search warrant was executed at a residence on St. James Avenue for trafficking fentanyl.

The Chicopee Police Department states that the Chicopee Police Department Narcotics Unit, in conjunction with the Western Massachusetts FBI Gang Task Force (WMGTF), has been investigating a residence on St. James Avenue for the trafficking of fentanyl.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Margarita Burgos. A search warrant was applied for and granted for the residence.

On Thursday, members of the Chicopee Police Narcotics Unit and the WMGTF executed the search warrant and placed Burgos under arrest.

Burgos was charged with the following: • Trafficking fentanyl over 10 grams • Possession with intent to distribute a class
