Peloton users are being advised to check if their model is part of a massive recall in Canada.
Health Canada issued a recall alert for a specific model of the popular exercise bike on Thursday, Nov. 6. It involves certain seat posts on Peloton Original Series Bike+ units.
Peloton reported approximately 44,800 affected bikes were sold in Canada, and approximately 833,000 were sold in the United States. The impacted products were sold from 2020 through April 2025.
According to the agency, the bike model’s seat post assembly can break while in use, posing fall and injury hazards to the user. Riders who are taller than 5’10” (177 c.m.) and above 250 pounds (114 kg) have experienced this issue.
