Someone in Massachusetts claimed the first $1 million prize on Wednesday from a $5 scratch ticket game.
The prize was from the “ $1,000,000 Big Money ” scratch ticket game, which was released on Aug. 12 and costs $5 per ticket to play.
This is the first $1 million prize to be claimed in the game. There’s still three grand prizes remaining as of Nov. 6.
The $1 million ticket was sold at Richdale Food Shop in Rockland.
Overall, at least 471 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Wednesday, including 12 in Springfield, 13 in Worcester and 44 in Boston.
The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.
