MONTREAL – Quebecor Inc. reported its third-quarter profit rose compared with a year ago as revenues were up.

The telecommunications and media company says its net income attributable to shareholders totalled $236.1 million or $1.03 per share for the quarter ended Sept. 30.

The result compared with a profit of $189 million or 81 cents per share in the same three-month period of 2024.

Revenue for the quarter totalled $1.41 billion, up from $1.39 billion last year.

On an adjusted basis, Quebecor says its net income amounted to $1.05 per share, up from an adjusted profit of 82 cents per share in the third quarter of 2024.

Analysts on average had expected an adjusted profit of 99 cents per share, according to data provided by LSEG Data & Analytics.
