Former state Rep. Charlene Fite, R-Van Buren, filed Wednesday to run for the House District 24 seat that is currently held by state Rep. Brad Hall, R-Rudy, who filed Tuesday to seek reelection in the 2026 elections.
Fite filed to run for the House seat at the state Capitol a day after the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that Hall's wife claims he forced her to have sex with other men, including one she says repeatedly raped her. Hall has denied the claims.
Fite said late Wednesday afternoon that "I want to thank Brad Hall for serving the district for two years and I feel he has done a good job."
Fite declined to comment on whether she is suggesting Hall step aside and not run for reelection. She also declined to comment directly on the accusations in the divorce filings leveled again
