LODI TWP., MI — A luxury housing developer again faced public scrutiny in its quest to install two private wastewater treatment plants for a 107-home gated community planned in Lodi Township, just outside of Ann Arbor.

Toll Brothers in seeking a set of permits from state environmental regulators to discharge treated wastewater into the Rouse drain, a creek that feeds into the Saline River and River Raisin. They are also seeking permits related to wetland impacts. Some residents and environmental advocates have been raising concerns , urging the state to deny the permits.
