TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Flags that fly high upon state and local government buildings across Florida may soon be restricted from representing political partisanship, political ideology, race, gender or sexual orientation.

Florida House Bill 347, filed by Rep. David Borrero (R) of Miami-Dade County, seeks to limit the type of flags at government buildings to an authorized list defined in the bill.

According to the bill, this restriction would apply to all of Florida’s governing bodies including state, county, city, public schools and universities.
