Dale Biniecki emerged as the winner in the race for the District 2 commissioner seat on the Monroe County Board of Commissioners in the Nov. 4 election with 2,277 votes.
"I'm really thankful to the people of the second district," the Republican candidate said. "They overwhelmingly picked me. They have the same values that I preached, more or less. Family, low cost government, local control, and good schools."
However, legal matters make taking the seat a little messy.
Mark Brant, who received 382 votes and declined to comment, won the election for the District 2 commissioner term that started in January 2025.
