LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Entergy Arkansas is proposing a $1.6 billion investment to build a 754-megawatt power station at its White Bluff site in Jefferson County.
If approved by the Arkansas Public Service Commission, construction of the Jefferson Power Station is expected to generate about $2.9 billion in total economic impact, support more than 3,600 jobs, and contribute $128 million in local, county, and sales taxes.
Using modern, advanced technology that is 40% more efficient, the new power station will help reduce the cost of power to customers compared to other generating sources.
