FLINT, MI - Inside the bowels of a sprawling hydroelectric plant on Lake Michigan, key metal components are pitted and cratered like volcanic rock. Others have failed entirely. Leaks have sent water cascading into areas people work, like a scene out of “Titanic.”
Some 200 miles away in a federal courthouse in Flint, a jury will spend the coming weeks hearing arguments in a high stakes legal battle over who is at fault.
