Ukraine’s “Deep Strike” special forces unit dealt another major blow to Russian President Vladimir Putin ’s warchest last night, blowing up one of Russia ’s largest oil refineries.

The Kyiv military’s “Deep Strike” covert force hit the Volgorod Oil Refinery, one of Russia’s largest and most lucrative energy plants and also hit a major Moscow power plant. Operated by energy giant Lukoil, the Volgograd refinery has come under repeated attack this year, the last strike in September forcing a temporary shutdown and costing millions.
