At an age when most kids were still figuring out which sport they liked, AJ Salierno already had a golf club in his hands and a fire lit inside him.
Introduced to the game by his father and grandfather, both golfers, AJ entered his first par-3 tournament at just 6 years old.
By age 8 or 9, he shot a 35 over nine holes to win a U.S. Kids season championship at Braelinn Golf Club. It was an early sign that this was not a childhood hobby, but something bigger. “We started realizing he was special,” recalled his mother, Britanie Salierno.
