Nearly seven months after Tiverton Town Council members voted to sell 72.7 acres of land to Longplex-related entities for $1.236 million, councilors met with Longplex Family & Sports Center owner Jim Long last week to talk about the project, progress and other related issues. They also discussed whether the Tiverton Planning Board, currently reviewing several Longplex-related projects, is moving fast enough.
Long’s proposed expansion includes an enclosed automobile storage facility, an ice rink, an indoor and outdoor recreation facility, a hotel and a restaurant, and would also see other improvements, including a golf range, 12 pickleball courts, and other amenities. While planning board members have held a host of meetings to date, all individual approvals remain out
