Albuquerque officer dies by suicide during standoff with BCSO, authorities say

An Albuquerque officer shot himself during a standoff with Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office deputies responding to a domestic violence call, authorities say.

On Wednesday, BCSO deputies were called to a school in the East Mountains after a woman reported that she and her child had experienced domestic violence, according to a news release from BSCO spokesperson Jayme Gonzales.
