Detroit — Tigers president Scott Harris said a whole lot during his hour-long debriefing with the media, following his team's crushing Game 5 loss to the Seattle Mariners in the American League Division Series.
He talked about the team's need to improve its core mission, dominating the strike zone, especially from an offensive perspective. He talked about the organization's farm system , and the expectation that top prospects — particularly, Kevin McGonigle and Max Clark — will contribute in 2026, perhaps a lot. He talked, at least as much as he could, about the dicey contract situation of ace Tarik Skubal , who's likely to win a second straight Cy Young.
