The First Minister has apologised to a Queen's Park player who was left waiting 10 hours for an ambulance after dislocating his knee.
Charlie Fox was playing against Partick Thistle at Firhill last Saturday when he suffered the horror injury. Officials stopped play for 10 minutes while he received treatment from the club's medical staff.
Fox suffered the injury at around 3.25pm but was not collected by an ambulance and taken to hospital until 1am, reports the Record. It comes just weeks after another footballer, Brook Paterson, was left waiting five hours for an ambulance despite suffering a double leg break while playing for Linlithgow Rose women's team.
Both cases were raised today at Holyrood by Anas Sarwar as examples of what he described as the unacceptable waiting times bein
