ROCKFORD (WREX) — Two people have been hospitalized after a shooting in a Rockford neighborhood Thursday.

Rockford Police say two people have been shot in the 800 block of Ferguson St., according to a social media post just after noon Thursday.

The post on X says both victims were taken to local hospitals. No information on their conditions was immediately available.

The public is asked to avoid the area while police investigate.
