WASHINGTON D.C. – President Donald Trump announced agreements with two drug makers to reduce the prices of certain weight loss drugs.
The deals aim to expand access to these treatments by lowering the cost of GLP-1 drugs, which will ultimately reduce expenses for Medicare and Medicaid.
The price reductions will be available directly to consumers through a new administration website that the Trump team plans to launch.
Under the agreement, the monthly out-of-pocket costs for the drugs could range from $50 to $350, depending on dosage and insurance coverage.
