31 games are on tap for 2026 Cactus League season

Spring training fans can already start planning their trips to Surprise.

Major League Baseball released the 2026 Cactus League schedule on Nov. 5, with opening day at Surprise Stadium set for Friday, Feb. 20.

The two “home” teams, the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals, will play their annual season opener that day, one of 31 total games in Surprise this spring.

All other 13 teams in the Cactus League will make an appearance in Surprise.

The hometown Arizona Diamondbacks will make two appearances in Surprise on Feb. 24 and March 13.

Other highlights include stops by the Chicago Cubs (Monday, Feb. 23 and Tuesday, March 10), Los Angeles Dodgers (Friday, Feb. 28) and San Francisco Giants (Wednesday, March 11).
