The office of the Accountant General, Uttarakhand, will organise a workshop on financial literacy to strengthen accounting practices and promote transparency in public financial management at Nainital Club in Nainital on Friday.

Senior officers from the State administration, Police, Forest, Judiciary, Public Works Department and district administration of Nainital will participate in the workshop. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has been emphasising the importance of sensitizing the drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs), treasury officers and others through regular seminars and workshops.
