TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Arizona’s senators took to the Senate Floor today, November 6, to demand Representative-Elect Adelita Grijalva be sworn into office.
Senators Reuben Gallego and Mark Kelly called for the senate to pass their resolution by unanimous consent.
The pair argue the delay by House Speaker Mike Johnson is because Grijalva would be the last signature needed to force the release of the Epstein files.
Speaker Johnson, for his part, has denied that, and blamed the delay on the government shutdown. He has said he would be willing to swear her in as soon as the shutdown ends.
