CHARLESTON — Police arrested the man they believe shot two people who were fighting during a Halloween party at a peninsula apartment complex.

Aden Gore, 21, and another man got into an altercation in the second-floor hallway of the 930 NoMo complex around 12:45 a.m. on Nov. 1. The apartment complex is home to multiple College of Charleston students but none were involved in this incident, according to police.

During the fight, the other man’s acquaintance, Zaire Christopher Nelson, 20, fired multiple shots that struck both men, according to a Nov. 6 statement from the Charleston Police Department .

Gore died from his injuries. The other man, who police have not publicly identified, survived after being shot in the leg.
