Tripadvisor is cutting staff after unifying two of its three business units, confirming reports from earlier this week .

In its earnings release Thursday, the Needham-based travel metasearch company (Nasdaq: TRIP) said it's doubling down on its strategy to be an "experiences-led and AI-enabled company" as opposed to a platform to find travel recommendations.
