The Region 4-5A title and top seed in the Class 5A Division I playoffs was not the only thing secured last week by Dutch Fork.

The Silver Foxes regained their classification’s top spot in the final South Carolina Prep Football poll released Tuesday. They edged out Northwestern for number one despite both teams having the same number of first-place votes.

Irmo, which held the first place position the past five weeks, dropped to third following the 28-21 loss to Dutch Fork at W.C. Hawkins Stadium. The defeat snapped a 27-home game winning streak for the Yellow Jackets, who are the number one overall seed in Division II.
